Giugno in Molise: il nostro itinerario di viaggio

Giugno, oltre ad essere uno dei mesi più lunghi dell’anno, è per noi anche uno dei più belli. Con le sue fresche albe e tardi tramonti, porta con sé una carica ed un’energia nuove pronte ad esplodere con l’inizio dell’estate.

June, besides being one of the longest months of the year, is also one of the most beautiful for us. With its cool sunrises and late sunsets, it brings with it a new charge and energy ready to burst forth with the onset of summer.

È il mese della raccolta del grano (di cui vi racconteremo in dettaglio), per noi un evento speciale, quasi equiparabile ad una festa o ad una nascita, anzi RI-nascita.
Il clima è gradevole, con l’eccezione di momentanee incursioni di caldo estivo, ed il paesaggio è davvero straordinario: colline dalle sfumature verdi e gialle, puntellate dai variopinti colori dei fiori ed incorniciate da un luminoso cielo azzurro. Un quadro!

It is the month of the wheat harvest (which we will tell you about in detail), for us a special event, almost equated to a celebration or a birth, indeed RE-birth.
The weather is pleasant, with the exception of momentary forays of summer heat, and the landscape is truly extraordinary: hills of green and yellow hues, dotted with the colorful colors of flowers and framed by a bright blue sky. A picture!

Tutti presupposti ideali per una vacanza! E se a ciò ci aggiungete anche l’assenza della calca di turisti che si incontra in agosto, è impossibile non partire!
E allora eccovi un’idea per un break di 3 giorni da vivere in Molise presso il nostro agriturismo, Essentia dimora rurale. Si tratta solo di alcune delle tante soluzioni ed alternative che il nostro territorio offre in questo periodo (per conoscerle tutte potete contattarci direttamente).
Come vi abbiamo spesso raccontato, il nostro agriturismo si trova in collina, tra mare e montagna, ed il nostro itinerario seguirà proprio questo andamento: mare, collina, montagna.

All ideal prerequisites for a vacation! And if you add to that the absence of the tourist crush you encounter in August, it is impossible not to go!
So here is an idea for a 3-day break to experience in Molise at our agritourism, Essentia rural dwelling. These are just some of the many solutions and alternatives that our territory offers in this period (to know all of them you can contact us directly).
As we have often told you, our agritourism is located in the hills, between the sea and the mountains, and our itinerary will follow precisely this trend: sea, hills, mountains.

Giorno 1: mare.
Le scelte sono diverse, come le località in cui recarsi. I comuni costieri, Marina di Montenero, Petacciato, Termoli e Campomarino, offrono sia soluzioni di spiagge attrezzate, sia ampi tratti di costa totalmente libera, in cui si intervallano riserve naturali con delicate e preziose dune e verdi pinete. I fondali sono bassi e sabbiosi e quindi l’accesso al mare è sempre molto agevole. In alternativa, (e vi assicuriamo che si tratta di una stupenda alternativa), vi suggeriamo un’escursione in giornata alle favolose Isole Tremiti. Fuori dai periodi più frequentati, potrete apprezzarne a pieno il loro fascino e la loro bellezza (per conoscerle meglio ecco il nostro articolo: https://agriturismoessentia.com/blog/un-weekend-alle-isole-tremiti). L’imbarco avviene al porto di Termoli, che dal nostro agriturismo dista tra i 15’ ai 20’ di macchina, ed in meno di un’ora di navigazione potrete raggiungere l’arcipelago.

Day 1: Sea.
The choices are as diverse as the locations to which to go. The coastal municipalities, Marina di Montenero, Petacciato, Termoli and Campomarino, offer both solutions of equipped beaches and wide stretches of totally free coastline, where nature reserves are interspersed with delicate and precious dunes and green pine forests. The seabed is shallow and sandy, so access to the sea is always very easy. Alternatively, (and we assure you that this is a wonderful alternative), we suggest a day trip to the fabulous Tremiti Islands. Outside the busiest periods, you can fully appreciate their charm and beauty (to learn more about them here is our article: https://agriturismoessentia.com/blog/un-weekend-alle-isole-tremiti). Embarkation takes place at the port of Termoli, which is a 15′ to 20′ drive from our farmhouse, and in less than an hour’s sail you can reach the archipelago.

Per la sera, se volete continuare a gustarvi i sapori del mare, facendo anche una piacevole passeggiata tra le viuzze del centro storico, vi suggeriamo di cenare, ad esempio, a Termoli in uno dei ristorantini o locali di street food presenti nel borgo antico, in particolare quelli vicino al Castello Svevo; la vista del tramonto che si può godere da lì è meravigliosa.

For the evening, if you want to continue to enjoy the flavors of the sea, while also taking a leisurely stroll through the narrow streets of the historic center, we suggest that you dine, for example, in Termoli at one of the small restaurants or street food places in the old town, particularly those near the Swabian Castle; the view of the sunset from there is wonderful.

Giorno 2: collina.
La giornata non può che iniziare con una sana e abbondante colazione a base dei prodotti della nostra azienda agricola: dal dolce al salato, le prelibatezze della nostra cuoca vi delizieranno il palato.

Day 2: Hill.
The day can only begin with a healthy and hearty breakfast made from the products of our farm: from sweet to savory, our cook’s delicacies will delight your palate.

Si prosegue con un po’ di relax sul nostro grande prato e soprattutto ci si prepara per una bella escursione in e-bike guidati da Salvatore. Si parte nel pomeriggio dal nostro agriturismo e si attraversano oliveti, vigneti e campi coltivati a grano fino a giungere in uno dei borghi scelti per l’escursione: Larino, Montorio o Guglionesi( per curiosità visitate la sezione “Tour in e-bike” sul nostro sito: https://agriturismoessentia.com/attivit%C3%A0/tour-in-e-bike).

We continue with some relaxation on our large lawn and, most importantly, prepare for a nice e-bike excursion led by Salvatore. We leave in the afternoon from our farmhouse and ride through olive groves, vineyards and wheat fields until we reach one of the villages chosen for the excursion: Larino, Montorio or Guglionesi( for curiosity, visit the “E-bike Tours” section on our website: https://agriturismoessentia.com/attivit%C3%A0/tour-in-e-bike).

Si torna, poi, in agriturismo per una doccia rigenerante e per godere del tramonto e di una tipica cenetta in cui vengono raccontati e degustati i prodotti della nostra azienda.

We return, then, to the farmhouse for a rejuvenating shower and to enjoy the sunset and a typical dinner where the products of our farm are told and tasted.

Giorno 3: montagna.
Concludiamo le nostre proposte con una giornata nell’alto Molise. Diverse le scelte: potrete, infatti, abbinare un’attività all’aria aperta come un trekking (guidato o meno) o un’escursione in canoa canadese sui laghi del Molise, alla visita di uno dei caratteristici borghi di questo territorio, oppure di uno dei siti archeologici della regione (come Sepino o Pietrabbondante).

Day 3: Mountains.
We conclude our proposals with a day in upper Molise. There are several choices: you can, in fact, combine an outdoor activity such as trekking (guided or unguided) or an excursion in a Canadian canoe on the lakes of Molise, with a visit to one of the characteristic villages of this area, or to one of the archaeological sites of the region (such as Sepino or Pietrabbondante).
